About Stiward
Why Stiward exists.
Because the running parts of life have quietly stolen the parts that should matter. The receipts, the reconciliations, the half-finished drafts, the calendar collisions. Stiward exists to give those hours back.
The shift
We over-built dashboards. We never built a helper.
Almost everyone spends a quiet two or three hours a day on admin. Reconciling cards. Triaging inbox. Rescheduling. Hunting receipts. Filing. Following up. Apologizing.
For decades, the answer was "here is an app for that." Then there were a hundred apps. Then there were dashboards to orchestrate the apps. Then there were Slack channels to discuss the dashboards.
The actual job, the one a really good assistant does for you, is to make all this go away. Stiward is software finally being honest about that job.
Mission
A real assistant for the rest of us.
Most people will never hire someone to read their inbox or reconcile their accounts. They are too busy doing the work that pays the bills, raising their kids, finishing their degree, chasing a side project. Stiward is the assistant they should have had all along, at a price that fits a normal monthly budget.
Vision
Software that earns its place in your life.
Money, time, inbox today. Health, travel, and the quiet administrative friction of everyday life over time. One assistant, many areas. Earning your trust slowly enough to deserve it, quickly enough to be useful.
Principles
Five things we are not negotiable on
- 01
Chat-first, never UI-first
Most apps hand you a UI and expect you to learn their mental model. Stiward flips that around. A conversation that understands yours. Tabs and toggles are last resorts, not the product.
- 02
Propose, never auto-execute
The day an assistant sends an email under your name without asking is the day you stop trusting it. Stiward drafts, suggests, and waits. Every consequential action is your decision, with the diff in front of you.
- 03
Your data is not the product
We do not sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it to train models. The inference providers we use are contractually zero-retention. Your bank statements are not anyone's training set.
- 04
Briefings, not dashboards
Dashboards make you do the synthesis. Briefings do the synthesis for you. Stiward's job is not to show you everything. It is to surface the three things that actually matter today.
- 05
Built with the people using it
We bring people on a few at a time. The roadmap is built from what people ask for repeatedly, not from a feature backlog with no faces attached.
A note from the founder
I built Stiward because I was tired of being my own assistant.
I am a software engineer with a handful of small projects in flight. For years the bottleneck on every one of them was the same. Not strategy, not money, not even the hard engineering. It was me, drowning in reconciliations and inbox triage at 11pm when I should have been doing the work that only I could do.
I tried the apps. I tried the spreadsheets. I tried the dashboards. None of them gave me what I actually wanted, which was a single thing I could talk to that already knew about my money, my time, and my inbox, and that would just handle it, checking in only when something needed me.
That is Stiward. Built quietly with a small group of people who are tired of being their own assistant too. If that is you, the waitlist is the front door.
